My Little Cottage is a small. cozy, tranquil, secluded and very romantic one-bedroom retreat in the village of Cousins Cove about 45 minutes from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay and 20 minutes from the resort town of Negril. The cottage sits on a 1-acre property with over 300 feet of rocky shoreline that is mostly dominated by rugged coastal vegetation but most guests are likely to confine themselves to the manicured grounds immediately around the cottage. With an elegant, bright and contemporary interior and modern amenities, the cottage is a perfect place for a secluded, relaxed, romantic ganja vacation.
Amenities for an enjoyable stay
The cottage comes with outdoor amenities such as a hammock for two, and beach chairs that sit on a private sandy area with an open view of the sea. On the edge of a natural rocky shoreline is a gazebo and table, purposely oriented to enjoy the sunset on the horizon of the open ocean. Guests also enjoy going snorkeling, but the property provides no lifeguards so guests will pursue this adventure at their own risk. In the early mornings, fishermen can be seen pulling in their catch. Guests can also take a jog or stroll along the usually quiet and friendly community road that loops onto the highway to the nearby resort town of Negril.
Cook/housekeeper available
The cottage has all the conveniences for guests to prepare their own meals, but some may prefer to call on the cottage’s cook/housekeeper for this service. She may also go shopping for groceries at the local supermarket. Guests may also enjoy the local Jamaican cuisine by ordering in from a nearby partner community restaurant for meals that will be personally delivered to the cottage.

The real magic is the proximity to the water. The cottage sits so close to the ironshore that the sound of the surf is a 100% constant soundtrack to your peace, anchoring you in the present moment. The ‘man-size’ tide pool is a marvel of nature; it creates a protected, intimate harbor that makes connecting with the Caribbean effortless. With a gentle 1-foot wave at low tide, the swimming is easy to navigate even for those seeking pure stillness. Watching the local fishermen in the nearby cove provided a beautiful, rhythmic connection to the community’s heritage.
Our Host: Lisa truly understands the heart of hospitality and hosting. She was incredibly attentive and ‘real,’ addressing every need and question with lightning speed and genuine care. Knowing that the logistics were handled with such professional excellence allowed us to stay in our highest frequency.
The Drivers: Jer and Marlon took incredible care of us. We always felt safe and held. Driving in Jamaica is a unique community rhythm best left to the experts—do yourself a favor, hire these professionals, and surrender to the beauty of the journey.
RastaSafari (Daniel, Nate & Cash): This was the heartbeat of our trip. Our driver, Cash, was amazing—he went above and beyond, providing thoughtful ‘420 gifts’ and stopping at a local fruit stand to share the island’s vibrant bounty with us. Our guides, Daniel and Nate, shared the culture with so much love. Spending a Sunday afternoon at a gathering along the rolling river and swimming with locals was a core memory—the music was amazing, and the vibe was even better. We ended with an incredible Ital meal by the Chef, sitting in pure paradise with breathtaking mountain views.
Jamaica is gifted with high-vibe souls and the pure paradise gifts of coffee, food, and community. It is, quite simply, the best place ever to reconnect with your purpose. One love.
