Mount Tambrin theatre and art gallery sits on 800 wooded, and private acres of hiking trails, prime bird watching forests, lush tropical gardens, and farmland, a mile off the main road in the cool hills of western Jamaica, about 60 minutes from the Donald Sangster Airport in Montego Bay, close to Savanna la Mar, the parish capital. The property is the former estate of author Alex Haley of Roots fame and is very LGBQ friendly.

Mount Tambrin provides comfortable accommodations in a four-bedroom house plus Jamaican style meals served family style. It is a great setting for cannabis enthusiasts to consume in the vast open spaces on the property. Smoking in the rooms is not allowed. The property’s many amenities include a VCR, art studio, music room, antiques, sitting room/library, patio, scenic views, private porch, and designated smoking areas.
