Study: Seniors Report Using Cannabis Products to Mitigate Symptoms Associated with Older Age

Fifteen percent of seniors say they have used cannabis products within the past three years, primarily for therapeutic purposes, according to data from a recent study published in the Journal of the American Geriatric Society. US Cannabis Sales Approach $18 Billion, Up 67% from 2019

Total US cannabis sales reached $17.9 billion in 2020. A whopping $7.2 billion or 67% increase over 2019. The main driver of this growth, according to Leafly, was a 25% to 40% increase in the average purchase. Covid-19 was not mentioned but it almost certainly had an impact on these numbers.
