Roots Bamboo is a cozy 30-room, budget resort right in the middle of 7-Mile-Beach in Negril, close to many bars and popular restaurants, about 90 minutes from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. The pure white sands and crystal-clear waters of Negril’s famed coastline are just a few steps away from every room. There is a restaurant and bar on the beach serving a menu of delicious food and drinks where guests can relax, sip a cocktail while watching Negril’s breath-taking sunsets. There are lounge chairs for those who prefer to spend most of the day on the beach.

Live entertainment

In addition to its very laidback vibe, Roots Bamboo also offers live stage shows on Wednesdays showcasing local reggae and dancehall artists such as Luciano, Freddie McGregor, Yellowman, John Holt, and Frankie Paul. On some days, there will be an all-night beach party right outside your door.

Affordable rooms

Roots Bamboo offers affordable rooms with and without air conditioning; those without air conditioning have a ceiling fan. Some rooms have a fridge. The resort also offers the only camping facility in Negril; guests need only to bring their own tent to enjoy the experience.

A very weedy atmosphere

The resort’s friendliness towards ganja ensures a welcoming space where guests are free to unwind with a joint. Ganja is available at the several herb houses in town but unlicensed weed is abundant and everywhere – especially during live concert events.
