Yoga Universal Lifestyles is in Hope Bay, about 3 hours across the mountains. from the Norman Manley Airport in Kingston. The property is more than just a yoga center, it offers a unique blend of yoga, cannabis wellness, Ital living, rustic cottages, and Rastafari culture. Joan Burke the resident yogi has infused her Rastafarian faith into her yoga practice.

The objective of Yoga Universal Lifestyles is for participants to relax, rejuvenate, and transform their body, mind, and soul. According to the retreat’s founder, they offer “inner peace and well-being with a truly wholistic approach that integrates health with the cultivation and development of spirituality in the timeless ingenuity of our Afrikan Ancestors through breathing, relaxation, diet, positive thinking, meditation.”

Accommodations in 2 cozy cottages

Accommodations are available in two cozy cottages with basic amenities surrounded by lush greenery. Most days start with a yoga class. Where participants learn different poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices. The center also offers massage therapy using cannabis infused oils to enhance mood, relieve pain, and stimulate the senses. Guests also enjoy delicious Ital meals, a Rastafarian based organic, vegetarian cuisine. Guests are invited to participate in community activities such as drum circles, bonfires, and various other ceremonies.
